Does anybody know whyyyy this is not playing anywhere in North Carolina? It has been heavily covered, advertised and critically-acclaimed before it was even in theaters. :( Why the tease?!

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
As we celebrate this special day for our nation and the world, and a very special leader, I remember all of what I have learned about Martin Luther King, Jr.'s extreme dedication to non-violence. He was truly a man struggling with those against and behind his cause to remedy injustice and the cyclical problems of the urban people and America in general.
Some quotes from Dr. King:
-"An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity."
-"We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love."
-"Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness."
-"I can hear God saying to America 'You are too arrogant, and if you don't change your ways, I will rise up and break the backbone of your power, and I will place it in the hands of a nation that doesn't even know my name."
-"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death."
-"Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic."
-"Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice. And justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love."
Also available to read, the "New Sense of Direction" written by King in 1968.
And, short article on the new biopic about Dr. King, directed by Precious filmmaker Lee Daniels.

Mo'Nique Talks 'Precious,' Oscar Politics and Unfair Press in Exclusive Interview - Inside Movies
Nice interview of Mo'Nique speaking about her dramatic role and Oscar possibilities for the critically acclaimed film Precious. So excited to see this movie. Maybe today?
Also, I must say Mo is looking fab in this picture. I am loving her rhinestoned straps and clean, coiffed look. Work it!

"It's Really Quite Serious"
Watching Finding Neverland with Chadwick. What a beautiful movie. Sort of sad, sort of lovely. Oddly, one of my favorite characters is Mary, James' (Johnny Depp) wife: "Just come home to me everyday." Here's a link to the Rotten Tomatoes review.
