“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.” -Frederick Douglass
Heard this on the radio today, Tavis Smiley's PRI show, Tavis Talks (via 91.3 WLRN, NPR-affiliate). I heart NPR, and the discussion on Presidents and the Civil Rights Movement today was very interesting and educational. Clarence Jones-- Martin Luther King, Jr.'s attorney-- retraced historical moments in the movement. Tavis Talks podcasts can be found at www.TavisTalks.com. Today there was also some great remembrance of Michael Jackson by Motown man Berry Gordy himself.
