Bye Bye to our Miami Beach "Penthouse". Hello, North Carolina!!

So, to keep this very short and sweet, I am separating from my boyfriend of just over two years. It's hard, but probably the right thing for both of us. As so, I am no longer tied to staying in Miami Beach. And, though I will miss of third floor "penthouse," I am really excited because I am moving to Charlotte, NC, which means I am closer to my family (who moved there last year) and I am finally going to be a real southern girl :)

I never got around to posting the pictures of our apartment here in Miami-- mostly because I wanted to just post the new apartment. Maybe I'll put some throwback photos up in the future, since I do have them on my laptop. But soon to come, beautiful posts from a brand new city! I have a whole new state and region to experience, so this will make for some great posts in 2010. For sure, we will have a house tour of the new digs and neighborhood and then a post from the Smoky Mountain Christmas I'll spend in Tennessee with my family!! Looking forward.

Moving On U-u-u-up To the Eastiside

You know that song "Today I Met The Boy I'm Gonna Marry"? Well, today I saw "the condo I want to marry"!! Well, I saw it online, and, tomorrow, I meet "the condo" at noon!! I am really excited. This is the first option I have found that I actually like enough to get off my lazy bum and go see it. I am not usually a quick-to-purchase type of shopper, but with the way the rental market is right now, I'll have to scoop this gem up right away. Below, you can see the two floorplans for the units I'll be scoping out. I have a few other buildings, as well, but this North Bay Village unit is currently at the top of my list, and time is running short!

The Boy Is Away, I Have No Time To Play!

Chadwick is in Orlando and I only have Tuesday and Wednesday to take care of business. It is so much easier to be uber-productive when there is no one to distract you (or in our little apartment, literally, get in your way). In the two days I have the apartment to myself, I am holding a "yard" sale, starting to pack the things we do not need on a daily basis, donating all kinds of odds and ends, looking for a new condo anywhere from Sunny Isles to Brickell, grooming our chihuahua, planning our cruise details and planning the moving details. All I have managed thus far: laundry. If I am missing in action these next few days, you'll know why!

WishList: On the Hunt

Water view (A1A location)-- Chad is a Pisces, so we have to see the water.

Building Amenities: Pool, Gym, Garage, Security.
Must Love Dogs-- Nicholas is a 4.5 lb. chihuahua.
Large windows.
Maybe I'll even get a tennis court.

Lastly, I really want a long hallway somewhere in the floorplan, so that I can wallpaper it and have a nice little table display and some wall sconces :)
