Lots to Do!

This week, I got a lot of goodies! FOR FREE. I was walking Nicky on Monday and as I passed the dumpster area next to my building, I noticed a congregation of wooden furniture being tossed! From the stash, I grabbed a wooden chair (but with only one, I'm not sure what I'll do with it) and a wicker laundry basket (I have wanted one for awhile but couldn't bring myself to spend $40 at Target or Bed, Bath & Beyond). After I have scoured/disinfected it, I think I will spray the laundry basket in white or maybe silver??




Then, dad called on Tuesday and had a client throwing out some old furniture. Her 20-something son has an apartment with too much of a thrown together "dorm feel", so his mother is paying to have it redecorated (lucky!), so that he can catch a girl! HA! So, I grabbed this circus-looking nighstand (the back is stenciled Drexel, so maybe Drexel Heritage?), a small wooden dresser with hutch (hutch is not pictured below-- still in the car), a Tommy Hilfiger comforter set (in the car), and a random throw pillow made it, too.







So far, I have plans for the circus nightstand and laundry basket... the rest I'm still dreaming up.
